So far I'm to the third chapter and very pleased at the information provided. The author is very thorough on discussing the many causes and influences of allergies and repeatedly encourages readers to take the book to their doctor to discuss the ideas and to work with their doctor before trying anything in the book.

I've heard Dr. Galland speak in several health-related online summits, so I was excited to read this book. It didn't disappoint! Because of my career and my own health concerns, I've read many books on similar topics—how to solve the mystery of why people get sick and struggle to get well. And yet, I learned many new things from this book.

It's also worth saying that Dr. Galland backs up his methodologies with both scientific research (duly footnoted) and his own clinical experiences.

I like the focus on not only changing toxic habits for our own health, but for the health of the planet. I also appreciated the detailed and specific protocol of the diet-related recommendations. Often dietary suggestions are too broad and don't make it clear how to implement them, but not in this case. I will be recommending this book to friends and clients!

Thanks to NetGalley and Hay House for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. ( )

As a sufferer of allergies both food and nature this book was an eye opener, particularly the part about the sulfite allergy. I have a severe sulfite allergy and to read that others have this and that it contributes to asthma (which I have) and other ailments really gave me pause and I will be discussing with my doctor about his treatments (I have a holistic doctor who won't think this is weird at all)

While Dr. Gallands experiences, case studies and methods may not resinate with everyone, those who are at the end of their rope or not enamored with western medicine may want to run out and pick this up, it might not only be an eye opener but also a life saver. ( )
