Be it REMEMBERED, That on the Seventeenth day of December A. D. 1825, in the Fiftieth year of the Independenee of the United States of America, DANIEL A. CLARK, A. M. of the said District has deposited in this Office the Title of a Book the right whereof he claims as Author in the words following, to wit: A Volume of Sermons, designed to be used in Reigious Meetings, when there is not present a Gospel-Minister. By Daniel A. Clark, A. M. Late Pastor of the first Church in Amherst, Mass. The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream ; but he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully.” Jer. xxiii. 28.-“ For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle ?" 1 Cor. xiv. 8. In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled “ An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts and Books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies, during the times therein mentioned" and also to an Act entitled “ An Act supplementary to an Act, entitled, An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts and Books to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies during the times therein mentioned; and extending the benefits thereof to the Arts of Designing, Engraving and Etching HisLorical and other Prints."
