the Parliament of this Kingdom: And whereas it i reasonable and neceffary, that the true Proteftant Re ligion Profeffed. and Established by Law in the Church of England, and the Doctrine, Worship, Difcipline and Government thereof, fhould be effect ually and unalterably Secured; Be it Enacted bythe Queen's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Ad vice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Tempo ral, and the Commons in this prefent Parliament f fembled, and by Authority of the fame, That an A made in the 13th. Year of the late Queen Elizabeth, famous Memory, Intituled, An A&t for the Miniften the Church to be of a Sound Religion: And also anothe Act made in the 13th. Year of the Reign of the late King Charles the Ild. intiruled, An A&t for the Unifa mity of the Publick Prayers and Adminiftration of Same ments, and other Rites and Ceremonies, and for Establifeing the form of Making, Ordaining and Confecrating Bife Priefts and Deacons in the Church of England, (other than fuch Claufes in the faid Acts, or either of them, as have been repealed or altered by any fubfequen Act or Acts of Parliament) and all and lingular other Acts of Parliament now in Force for the Establibment and Prefervation of the Church of England, and the Doctrine, Worship, Difcipline and Government thereof, fhall remain and be in full force for ever.

And be it further Enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That after the Demife of her Majesty (whom God long preferve) the Sovereign next Succeeding to Her Majefty in the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Great Britain, and fo for ever hereafter every King or Queen Succeeding and Coming to the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Great Britain, at His or Her Coronation, fhall in the Prefence of all Perfons who fhall be Attending, Aflifting, or otherwife then and there prefent, Take and Subfcribe an Oath to Maintain and Preferve inviolably the faid Settlement of the Church of England, and the Doctrine, Worship, Difcipline and Government thereof, as by Law eftablished within the Kingdoms of England and Ireland, the Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed, and the Territories thereunto belonging.

And be it further Enacted by the Authority aforefaid, that this Act, and all and every the Matters

and Things therein contained, be, and fhall for ever be Holden and Adjudged to be a Fundamental and Effential Part of any Treaty of Union to be concluded between the faid Two Kingdoms; And alfo that this A&t fhall be inferted in exprefs Terms in any Act of Parliament which fhall be made for Settling and Ratifying any fuch Treaty of Union, and shall be therein declared to be an Effential and Funda mental Part thereof.

May it therefore please your moft Excellent Majefty, that it may be Enacted; And be it Enacted by the Queen's moft Excellent Majefty, by, and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons in this prefent Parliament Aflembled, and by Authority of the fame, That all and every the faid Articles of Union as Ratified and Approved by the faid Act of Parliament of Scotland, as aforetaid, and herein before particularly mention'd and inferted, and alfo the faid Act of Parliament of Scotland for Eftablishing the Proteftant Religion, and Presbyterian Church Governihent within that Kingdom, Intituled, A&t for Securing the Proteftant Religion and Presbyterian Church Government, and every Claufe Matter and Thing in the faid Articles and Act contained, fhall be, and the faid Articles and Act are hereby forever Ratified, Approved and Confirmed.

And it is hereby further Enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Act paffed in this prefent Seffion of Parliament, Intituled, An Act for Se. curing the Church of England, as by Law Establish'd, and all and every the Matters and Things therein #contained: And alfo the faid Act of Parliament of Scotland, Intituled, A&t for Securing the Proteftant Religion, and Presbyterian Church Government, with the Establishment in the faid Act contained, be, and fhall for ever be Held and Adjudged to be, and obferved as Fundamental and Effential Conditions of the faid Union: And fhall in all Times coming, be taken to be, and are hereby declared to be Effenti Fundamental Parts of the faid Articles and Union: And the faid Articles of Union fo as aforefaid Ratified, Approved and Confirmed by Act of Parliament of Scotland, and by this prefent Act, and the faid A&t paffed in this prefent Seilion of Parliament, Intituled An AB for Securing the Church of England as by Law Mm

Proteftant Religion, and Presbyterian Church Gevers ment, are hereby Enacted and Ordained to be, an continue in all Times coming the Compleat ad Intire Union of the Two Kingdoms of England 2: Scotland.

And whereas fince the Paffing the faid Act in the Parliament of Scotland, for Ratifying the faid Artica of Union, one other Act, Intituled, Act Settling ta Sixteen Peers, and Forty five Members to Reprefen Scotland in the Parliament of Great Britain, ha likewife paffed in the faid Parliament of Scotlandr Edinburgh, the Fifth Day of February, One thousand feven hundred and feven, the Tenor whereof fallows.

N. B. This At is contain'd in this Appendix, Numb. XIII.

As by the faid Act paffed in Scotland, for Settling the Manner of Electing the Sixteen Peers, and Forty five Members, to reprefent Scotland in the Parlia ment of Great Britain, may appear; Be it therefore further Enacted and Declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid laft mentioned Act paffed in Scotland for Settling the Manner of Electing the Sixteen Peers, and Forty five Members, to reprefent Scotland in the Parliament of Great Britain, as afore faid, fhall be, and the fame is hereby declared to be as valid as if the fame had been Part of, and Engrof. fed in the faid Articles of Union Ratified and Appro ved by the faid Act of Parliament of Scotland, and by this Act as aforefaid.

Numb. XX.

CONDITIONS on which it is offer'd ( by the French) to evacuate the Places of Lombardy, and to withdraw the Troops of the two Crowns into France,

Article 1. ALL the Places poffefs'd by the Troops of the Two Crowns fhall be yielded up, and evacuated in the Form, and at the Day that shall be agreed on, and on the following Conditions. Granted.

2. All the Troops of the Two Crowns, of what Nation foever they may be, as well Cavalry, Dragoons, Infantry and Huffars, and generally all the Officers, and others who make up the Major Eftablishment of the Places, fhall go out with Arms, Baggage, Equipages, Colours flying, and all Military Honours, in the Condition they are in at prefent, and fhall march. either in a Body, or in fmall Troops and Companies, which fhall be left to our Choice, in the manner following, for the Conveniency of the Troops, and fhall be conducted in all fafety, by the fhorteft Way, to Suza; nor fhall any Wrong, Stop, or Hindrance, be offer'd either to them, or their Equipages, on any Pretence whatfoever. Granted.

3. The Garrison of Sftola fhall repair to Mirandola, for which purpofe the Enemy thall give a Pafs for their being conducted in Safety thither. The Men belonging to that Garrison are already Prifoners of War: ; 4. The Garrison of Finel fhall fet out the 26th. Inft. with 10 Pieces of Cannon, in order to repair to Suza, by fuch a Rout as shall be regulated, as well as the nect ffry Measures for its Safety and Subfiftence, as far as the faid Town of Suga. Four Pieces of Cannon only are allowed, viz. Two 12-Pounders, and two Six Pounders, which, in cafe they cannot be carried by Land, may be tranfported by Sea: Moreover, a General Officer, and a Commiffary of War, fhall be allowed to that Garrison, both for the Security of their March, and their Subfiftence.

5. The Garrifon of the Caftle of Milan fhall fet out the 20th. Inftant, in order to repair to Valenza, where Mm 2

they fhall join the Garrison of that Place, and the march together directly to Suza, with the fame Cecumftances. This Garrison fhall march directly to No varra, and fhall join the main Body at Suza. That i Valenza fhall be join'd in the march by that of Cremos: AGeneral Sufpenfion of Arms fhall be forthwith preclaimi after which the Caftle fhall give Hoftages.

6. The Garrison of Mirandola fhall fet out the 2 Inft. and repair to Gueltieri, in order to join thats Mantua, on the Day it paffes by that Place. GramIAL

7. The Garrifon of Mantua fhall fet out the Fir of April, in order, the next day, to pass the Po Borgoforte, on the Bridge we fhall caufe to be mad there, and repair against the Bridge of Cremona, b the Way that shall be agreed on. Granted.

8. The Garrifon of Sabionetta fhall fet out the First of April, and go and join that of Cremona, by fuch Routs and Quarters as shall be appointed fo them. Granted.

9. The Garrifon of Cremona shall pass the Po the Bridge of Cremona. Granted,

Io. All the faid Garrifons of Mirandola, Mantu Sabionetta and Cremona, fhall affemble at the end of the Bridge of Cremona, in order to march together through the Placentine, the Milaneze, and the Dominions of his Royal Highness of Savoy, directly to Suza, by fuch Routs and Quarters as fhall be agreed

on. Granted.

II. Each Garrison fhall be allowed to carry with them 10 Pieces of Cannon, with fuch Carriages and other Furniture, as belong to Artillery, and Ammunition for each Piece to fire 100 times. Each Foot Soldier and Trooper fhall be permitted to carry with him Powder and Shot to fire 20 times. Ten Pieces of Cannon only are allowed for al the Garrifons, without including thofe for Final; and the particular Places from whence the same shall be taken, fhall be exprefly agreed on, viz. Four 12, Two 6, and Four 3 Pounders, with Ammunition for each Piece to fire 50 times.

12. In cafe the Governors of Places have any thing to add to the present Articles, either for their own Concerns, or those of their Garrisons, fuch Things fhall be granted to them, as cannot be known, till the Orders for the Evacuation of the faid Places are fent
