This is the Father of our Lord Jefus Chrift.

Again: This God is the Father of our Lord fefus Chrift; and of Him it is, that St Paul the Apoftle declares, There is One God, even the Father, who is above all, and through all, and in us all. Again: Our Lord acknowledges One Father; and that He is the God over All.

Again; The One only God, the Creator, who is above all principality,dominion and Power. This is the God of Abraham, the God of Ifaac, the God of Facob; whom both the Law Shows forth, and the Prophets declare, and the Spirit reveals, and the Apostles preach, and the Church has believed This is the Father of our Lord Jefus Chrift. Again: The Doctrine delivered by the Apoftles; viz. that there is One God Almighty, -and that He is the Father of our Lord fefus Chrift.

Again:

Again; Believing in One God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, and of all things that are therein, by Jefus Chrift the Son of God.

Again: Settling in the Church, the Rule of Truth; that there is One God Almighty, who made all things by his Word, [viz. by Christ.]

Again: The only-begotten Son came to us from the One God; For no man can know the Father, but by the Revelation of the Son.

Again: First of all, believe that there is One God, who made all things. As faith the Apoftle; There is One God, even the Father, who is above All, and in us all.

And Novatian: We believe (fays he) in the Lord Fefus Chrift, who is OUR God, but GOD's Son; namely, the Son of Him, who is the One and Only GOD, the Maker of all things.

And again: God the Father therefore is Alone unthe One originated, God. The Son indeed is alfo God, conftituting a fecond Perfon, but not therefore bindring the Father from being the One God.

the Son acknowledgeth the whole Power of bis Divinity to be derived from the Father, be declares the Father to be the One True Eternal God, from whom alone That divinity of the Son is derived. -The Son indeed is shown to be God, as having Divinity derived and communicated to him; and yet nevertheless the Father is proved to be the One God, as being the Communicater of That Divinity.

And Eufebius, in the following Paffages, (which are most of them cited by Dr Cave in his Differtation against Le Clerc in Defence of Eufebius's Orthodoxy:) The Son, faith he, Τον δε τὸ Θεὸν ἔ λαhail bis Divinity by De- βόντα παρὰ τὸ παρὸς ἔχειν rivation from the Father, ὡς ἂν εἰκόνα τὸ Θεό, μιᾶς ἐπ ̓ as being the Image of God; ἀμφοῖν καὶ τὸ παράδειγμα So that there is but One θεότητΘ ἐπινομένης, ἑνός τε Divinity confidered in Both, ὄντ© Θεῖ, τὸ καθ ̓ ἑαυτὸν according to This Simili- ἀνάρχως καὶ ἀγεννήτως ὄντι,
