The seasons which the Father hath put in his own power. Acts i. 7.

That mercy, of which we have had so long experience, will be our support and stay under every future trouble which can happen to us in this world, and in all things which God shall bring to pass in the awful and eternal world that is to come.

Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again. Ps. lxxi. 20.

We ourselves know that this is indeed the Christ. John iv. 42.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Ps. xxiii. 2, 3.

THE SIGN OF THE SABBATH DAY.

Hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. Ezek. xx. 20.

If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath

Let me know and feel that all things are possible unto Thee, yet not as I will, but as Thou wilt. Look upon me as thy child, O Lord, and continually direct and guide me in thy way, and sanctify this my unworthy service to thy honour and glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR SUNDAY MORNING.
