I

The PRE FAC E.

T would be vain indeed, confidering the obfcurity of my life, to prefume to say any thing about it in public; but the things I would fpeak of, concern the Glory of GOD; this, therefore, and this only is the reafon of my prefuming to write any thing of myfelf to the world. The Glory of GOD alone, is my profeffed defign; to glorify my GOD and Saviour, by bearing witnefs to his truth is my earnest defire and in hope that the LORD will blefsand fanctify my teftimony to the good and benefit of many fouls who will glorify GOD in me, I have endeavoured to draw up the following account of the LORD's gracious dealings with my.. foul; and when I am dead and fhall have no opportunity (but of this fort) to do good to the fouls of my fellow creatures, I may (by this means) speak to those who shall hereafter believe to the faving of their fouls.
