Redemption by Christ. 1.
HEN the first parents of our race
Rebell’d, and lost their God,
Had tainted all our blood ; 2. Infinite pity touch'd the heart
Of the eternal Son,
He left his Father's throne.
His most divine array,
Of our inferior clay.
Redeem'd unhappy men,
To life and God again.
