All that we have attempted to

do is to present it in luminous outline, leaving its fuller development and application to the reader himself, and to any who may write upon it hereafter. This, however, we may venture to say, that whoever will appropriate and use the key here provided, may proceed to unlock the hidden treasures of creation, and make himself the happy possessor of great mental pleasures and enduring moral wealth. And if he be an instructor of others, he will thereby be enabled to present his teachings in a simple, interesting, and attractive form. Moral facts and spiritual truths are not easily apprehended, but when linked to their material counterparts they are very readily understood even by the ignorant and the young. The Perfect Teacher constantly taught by symbols. The material symbol naturalizes spiritual truth, and the truth spiritualizes the symbol. Nature is a great book of symbols, and the right way to read it is here exhibited. Let

all religious teachers, and especially teachers of the young, embody spiritual truths in natural objects as Christ did-objects with which every one is more or less familiar, and whose beauty and attractiveness are universally recognised and felt, for 'their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world' -and they will find that their words are both welcomed and remembered by those to whom they are addressed.
