THE Reception Mr. Wilkes's Letters have met with, on their separate Appearance, hàs induced one of his fincereft Friends to prefent the Public with an entire Collection of them, as a lasting Monument of the refolute Stand made for Liberty, against Minifterial Oppreffion and Tyranny, and of the unparalleled Ufage of the Author; in a Country too, famed for Freedom from the earlieft Records of Time! -This is a Prefent which he makes no doubt will be well received by his Friends in particular, and be no less agreeable to all Lovers of the British Conftitution in general; and no fuch, he really believes, can ever be Enemies to Mr. Wilkes.
