further continued from the laft Day of July 1710, A. C. to Her Majefty, Her Heirs and Succeffors, and from the faid laft Day of July 1710, fhall be charged and chargeable with the yearly Fund after the Rate of Four Pounds Ten Shillings per Cent. per Annum, to be paid to the Governor and Company of the Bank of England, for Circulating Exchequer Bills, and that the faid Fund and Duties be redeemable by Parliament upon a Year's Notice.

2. That the Duties on Houfes, to arife by the faid Act of the First Year of Her Majefty's Reign, after all the Principal and Intereft thereby charged thereupon fhall be fatisfied, be applied for or towards the Payments, which at or before the Feaft of St. Michael the Archangel 1710, fhall be grown due upon the faid Fund, after the Rate of Four Pounds Ten Shillings per Cent, per Annum, redeemable as aforefaid.

3. "That for fo much as fhall be neceffary quarterly, to wit, on every one of the four ufual quarterly Feaft-Days of the Year, from the firft Iffuing of the faid Exchequer Bills, until and for the Quarter to end at Michaelmafs 1710, to pay or make up fo much as upon every fuch Quarter-Day fhall be due after the Rate of Four Pounds Ten Shillings per Cent. per Annum, for Circulating the faid Exchequer Bills, there be iffued more Exchequer Bills (over and above the faid One Million Five Hundred Thoufand Pounds) to be chargeable on the Houfe-Mony, with the like Allowance for Circulation, and to be alfo redeemable by Parliament upon a Year's Notice, in like manner as aforefaid. Which being agreed to by the Houfe, it was ordered; That a Bill be brought in upon the faid Refolutions, and the Refolutions of the Fifteenth of the fame Month, for a Fund for Exchequer 'Bills to be circulated. The fame Day, the Commons in a Committee of the whole House, went again upon Ways and Means, and came to these Refolutions.

1. That towards raising the Supply granted to Her Majefty, a Sum not exceeding 1120000 Pounds be raised by Sales of Annuities, for the Term of Ninety Nine Years, to commence from Lady, Day 1707,

That the feveral Impofitions granted by an Act. of Parliament of the Fourth Year of their late Majefties King William and Queen Mary,, (of Glorious Memory) Entituled, An Act for granting to their Majefties certain Additional Impofitions upon feveral Goods and Merchandizes for profecuting the prefent War against France and which, by an Act of the First Year of Her Majefty's Reign, Entituled, An Act for making good Deficiencies, and preferving the Publick Credit, are already to continue until the First Day of Au6 guft 1710, fhall be further continued from the last Day of July 1710, for the Term of Ninety Six Years from thence next and immediately enfuing. 3. "That the Rates and Duties granted by an Act of Parliament made in the Fifth Year of the Reign of their faid late Majefties, Entituled An At for. granting to their Majefties feveral Duties upon Vellome, 6 Parchment and Paper for Four Years, towards carrying on the War against France, and which by the faid Act of the First Year of Her Majefty's Reign, are already granted to continue till the First Day of Auguft 1710, fhall be further, continued from the laft Day of July 1710, for the Term of Ninety Six "Years from thence next and immediately enfuing. 4. That the faid Additional Impofitions on Goods and Merchandizes, and the faid Rates and Duties upon Vellome, Parchment and Paper to be 'granted as aforefaid, when the fame fhall refpectively commence, be appropriated and applied to make good the Fund for Payment of the faid Annuities,

5. That a further Sum not exceeding Thirty Five Thoufand Pound, be raised by Sale of Annuities, as aforefaid, to difcharge the Two First Quarterly Payments to grow due on the Twenty Fourth Day of Fune, and the Twenty Ninth Day of September next refpectively...

That the faid Additional Impofitions on Goods and Merchandizes, and the faid Rates and Duties upon Vellome, Parchment and Paper to arife by ( vertue of the faid Act of the First Year of her Majefty's Reign, (after all the Principal and In tereft thereby charged thereon fhall be paid and fatisfy'd be applied towards fatisfying the Quar terly Payments, which at or before the Feaft of

That for compleating all the Monies which 'fhall grow due for the Quarterly Payments of the 'faid Annuities, at, or at any time or times before the faid Feaft of St. Michael the Archangel 1710, fo much as fhall be fufficient for that purpose, be taken and applied out of the Overplus Monies which fhall arife from time to time by the Funds formerly fettled for the Payment of Annuities granted before this Seffion of Parliament, the faid Overplus Monics being fuch as are difpofable for the PublickService, by the feveral Acts of Parliament relating thereunto: Which Refolutions being reported and read the 20th, were approv'd by the Houfe, and a Bill order'd to be brought in thereupon. The fame day, Mr. Chancellor of the Feb.20th Exchequer acquainted the Houfe, That the En voy of the States-General, having prefented to of the Her Majesty a Memorial relating to the Duties laid Dutch En upon Dutch Linnen, and fome other Commodities, voy laid bethat Matter, by Direction of her Majefty, had beenfore the under the Confideration of the Commiffioners of Commons. Trade and Plantations, and alfo of the Commif mifioners of the Cuftoms, and they having made their Reports thereupon, Her Majefty had Commanded that the fame, containing a State of that Matter, be laid before the Houfe, and he prefented the fame to the Houfe accordingly. The Titles of thofe Papers being read, the Confideration of the fame was referr'd to the Committee of the whole Houfe, who were to confider further of the Trade of this Kingdom.

On the 10th of March, the Commons, in a Grand Committee refolv'd to grant a Supply to her Majefty, anfer A Supply for the Payment of the Equivalent to Scotland: And he Equitwo days after came to thefe Refolutions,,

valent to

1. That the Sum of 398085 4. 10 s. be granted to Scotland Her Majefty, to difcharge the like Sum mention'd tranted, in the 15th Article of the Treaty of Union between March 12. England and Scotland, confirm'd by Acts of Parlia ment in both Kingdoms, being the Equivalent to be anfwer'd by the faid Article to Scotla d, for fuch Cuftoms and Excifes with Scotland is to be charged

2. That 2641 1. be granted to enable her Majefty to make a Recompence to the Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens of Carlisle, for fuch Tolls as they are to be depriv'd of by the 6th Article of the said Treaty of Union.

That 5000 l. be granted to enable her Majefty to make a Recompence to Jofeph Mufgrave, Thomas Mufgrave and George Mufgrave, Sons of Sir Chriftopher Mufgrave, Bar. deceas'd, for fuch Tolls as they are to be depriv'd of by the 6thArticle of the faid Treaty * March of Union, which Refolutions were, the next * reported, and agreed to. day Refolutions On the 15th of the fame Month, Mr. Conyers reabout Ways ported from the Committee of the whole House, the and Means. Following Refolutions about Ways and Means to raife the Supply, viz.

That towards raifing the Supply, the Duties on Low Wines and Spirits of the first Extraction, and the Duties payable by Hawkers, Pedlars and Petty-Chapmen, which by an Act of the Third • Year of her Majefty's Reign, have continuance until the 24th day of June, 1710. fhall be further granted and continued to her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, from the 23d Day of June, 1710. for the Term of 96 Years from thence next enfuing.

2. That there be paid for every Barrel of Sweets made for Sale, from, and after the 24th day of March, 1706. for the Term of 99 Years from thence next enfuing, the Sum of 1 l. 16 s. and fo propor⚫tionably for any greater or leffer Quantity, to be paid by the Maker of fuch Sweets.

3. That the Overplus Money arifing by the Rates and Duties, of Excife, which were granted to their late Majefties King William and Queen Mary (of Glorious Memory) by an Act of the "Fourth Year of their faid Majefties Reign, for the "the Term of 99 Years therein mentioned, and are liable to the Payment of feveral Annuities with Benefit of Survivorship, and other Annuities, fhall, from and after the 29th Day of September, 1710. be appropriated towards raising the Supply.

4. That the Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage, A. C. and other Sums of Money payable upon Merchan- 1706. dizes Imported and Exported, which were first

granted to King Charles the Second in the Twelfth Year of his Reign for his Life, and by feveral fubfequent Acts of Parliament were continued until the first Day of August, 1706. and by an Act of the firft Year of her Majefty's Reign, Entituled, An Act for making good Deficiencies, and preferving the Publick Credit, are granted to continue until the first Day of Auguft, 1710, (except fuch of the faid 'Duties as have been taken away or leffen'd by Acts of Parliament)fhall be further continued to her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, from the last Day of July, 1710, to the first Day of August, 1712, and no longer.

5. That the feveral Impofitions and Duties upon "Wines, Vinegar and Tobacco, which were granted 'firft to King James the Second in the first Year of

his Reign, and the Impofitions upon Eaft-India 'Goods, and other Goods charged therewith, which were first granted to their late Majefties King Wil liam and Queen Mary in the Second Year of their Reign, and by feveral fubfequent Acts of Parlia ment were continued until the firft Day of Auguft, 1706. and by an Act of the first Year of her Ma jefty's Reign, Entituled, An Act for making good Deficiencies, and preferving the Publick Credit, are gran'ted to continue until the first Day of August, 1710. (except fuch of the faid Impofitions and Duties, as 'have been taken away or leffen'd by Acts of Parliament) fhall be further continued to her Majefty,her Heirs and Succeffors,from the last Day of July,1710. 'to the first Day of August, 1712. and no longer.

6. That the Additional Rates, Duties and Impo tions, which were at firft granted to King William and Queen Mary, in the Fourth Year of their Reign, and by feveral fubfequent Acts of Parliament, were continued until the firft Day of August, 1706. and by an Act of the first Year of her Ma jefty's Reign, Entituled, An Act for making good Deficiencies, and preferving the Publick Credit, are granted to continue until the firft Day of August, 1710, (except fuch of the faid Rates, Duties and Impofitions as have been taken away by Acts of Parlia⚫ment)
