SIXTEENTH MEETING.

HELD AT

CLEVELAND, OHIO.

October 17th and 18th, 1883.

PREFACE.

At the meeting of the Society in St. Louis, it was decided the next meeting should be held in Cleveland, on the 4th and 5th of October, 1883.

The usual call was issued as follows:

To the Members of the Society of the Army of the Tennessee:

The Sixteenth Annual Reunion of the Society of the Army of the Tennessee will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday and Thursday, October 3rd and 4th, 1883. The anniversary of the battle of Corinth.

The annual address will be delivered by General Samuel Fallows.

All arrangements for the meeting will be under the charge of the following

Who will give due and timely notice of the details of their arrangements.
Officers who have at any time served with credit in the Army or Depart-
ment of the Tennessee are, by our constitution, entitled to membership.
Members of kindred societies are cordially invited to participate.

The Executive Officers of the Society and the Local Executive Committee decided to make a change of the time, and the following circular was notice thereof:

To the Members of the Society of the Army of the Tennessee:

For good and sufficient reasons, the Local Committee have determined upon making a change in the date of holding our next Annual Reunion.

The circular of July 20th, announcing that the meeting would be held on the 3rd and 4th days of October, is therefore recalled, and in lieu thereof, the following official announcement is promulgated:

The Sixteenth Annual Reunion of the Society of the Army of the Tennessee will be held at Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday and Thursday, October 17th and 18th, 1883.

The annual address will be delivered by General Samuel Fallows.
