The Bo-Kaap contains a wealth of stories; of slavery and emancipation, far away exotic lands, food and spices, music and culture, and most of all everyday life.

On page 38 the author refers to Abraham sacrificing Isaac - that is the Christian version of the events. In the Muslim version, Abraham was asked to sacrifice Ismael! I am surprised this glaring error was allowed into print.
