COCKER'S CIVIL GOVERNMENT.

Recent acts of the Legislature, and amendments to the State Constitution, necessitate the following changes in the last edition of the "Civil Government of Michigan:"

Page 16. Salaries.-Governor, $4,000; Lieutenant Governor, $1,200; Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Commissioner of the Land Office, Superintendent of Public Instruction, $2,000; Auditor General, Attorney General, $3,000; Judges of the Supreme Court, $7,000; Deputy Secretary of State, Deputy State Treasurer, Deputy Auditor General, Deputy Commissioner of the Land Office, Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction, $2,000.

Page 25. The salary of the Judge of Probate in the county of Wayne is five thousand dollars. In counties having a population of not less than seventy thousand, the salary is two thousand five hundred dollars; in
