JOINT RES

For the Election of Public Printer. Sec. 1. Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Republic of Texas in Congress assembled, That, on the fifteenth day of November inst., the two Houses of Congress will proceed to theelection of a Public Printer;who shall, under the direction of the Secretary of Statě, print the laws and journals of the present Congress.com :

Sec. 2. Be it further resolved, That any owner or conductor of a public press, who may desire to obtain the contract for the same, shall submit his proposition; in writing, stating where the said laws and journals shall be printed, at least two days before the time appointed for said election, mentioned in the first resoluztion, and stating the cost of printing one hundred copies of one hundred pages each, and of a larger or smaller number of copies and pages; and that they be required to state, in their proposals, at the time at which the printing of the laws and journals shall be completed, and ready for delivery to the Secretary of State,
