By referring to page 15 of the Supplement, it will be seen, that, in consequence of the improvident settlement of the Civil List at the commencement of the present reign, all the hereditary revenues still continue at the uncontrolled disposal of ministers. As these revenues form a principal source of ministerial corruption, and the fund from which is chiefly defrayed the expense of secret and sinister services to government, it is desirable to have an authentic statement of their amount. Our abstract is taken from the Parliamentary Paper, No. 124, Session, 1822: it is the return made pursuant to Act 1, Geo.
