HIGH TREASON.

ON N the 31st of August, 1795, Robert Thomas Crofsfield apprehended at Fowey in Cornwall, fent up to London, and committed by the Privy Council to the Tower.

On the 14th of January, 1796, the Grand Jury for the of London, fitting at the Seffions House in the Old Bailey, turned a true Bill against Robert Thomas Crossfield, Thomas Le Maitre, John Smith and George Higgins, for I

Treason,

On the 15th of January Paul Thomas Le Maitre, Smith, and George Higgins furrendered themselves in C and were committed to Newgate,

On the 20th of January, Mr. Gurney was affigned by Court, of Counsel for Paul Thomas Le Maitre, John S and George Higgins.

On the 16th of February, Mr. White, Solicitor to Treasury, delivered to each of the prifoners a copy of Indictment, a lift of the Jurors impannelled by the Sheriffs. å lift of the Witneffes to be produced by the Crown, for pro the faid Indictment.

On the 17th of February, Mr, Adam was affigned by Court, of Counsel for Paul Thomas Le Maitre, John S and George Higgins,
