As required by law, the Auditor General submits his annual report for the fiscal year closing this day:

The gross receipts and expenditures, as given in "Statement," Appendix, p. 2-3, are excessive by the amount of "Swamp Land Warrants" ($8,104 25), and Swamp Land Warrants-Third Series" ($306,319 28), these amounts being included in the "Swamp Land Fund" item in same Statement, but are excluded from both the receipts and expenditures as given above.

The amount of receipts and expenditures, as stated above, cover all transactions with the Treasury, whether of cash or land warrants, and include amounts paid into the Treasury in trust.

The aggregate receipts, exclusive of balance on hand November 30, 1869, as stated above.......

But, in this aggregate is included the total price of Swamp Lands expended during the year in the construction of Swamp Land State Roads, amounting to....

Deducting which, and there remains as cash
