PREFACE. I HAD long regarded the Book of Ruth as a most interesting book to the Christian student. These Lectures are an humble attempt to deal with the facts and truths contained in the book, as they bear upon every-day life and experience. They were originally delivered in the ordinary course of Sunday evening ministrations; and are now sent forth, at the earnest request of many valued friends, with the fervent prayer that the Great Head of the Church may make them useful.
