I hand you the report of the New York State Hospital for the Care of Crippled and Deformed Children for the year ending June 30, 1917, the fiscal year of State Hospitals having been changed to begin on July 1st instead of October 1st.

This report, I would add, has been submitted to the Board of Managers, and adopted and approved by them.

STATE HOSPITAL FOR THE CARE OF CRIPPLED AND DEFORMED CHILDREN*

I have the honor to submit for your consideration the following report and statistics of the work performed at your institution for the year ending June 30, 1917.

On July 1, 1916, there were 116 patients in the wards of the hospital. During the year 56 patients were received, making a total of 172 patients treated for this period.

The following table shows the diseases for which they were admitted:
