OF HUGH LATIMER. xlvii Several of Latimer's letters are preserved in Fox's Acts and Monuments;' and among them his celebrated one to Henry VIII, in 1530, on 'the restoring again of the free liberty of reading the Holy Scriptures.' His injunctions, likewise, to the prior and convent of St. Mary House in Worcester, during his first visitation in 1537, are inserted in the collection of Records at the end of the second volume of Burnet's 'History of the Reformation.’ A NOTABLE SERMON OF THE REVEREND FATHER MASTER HUGH LATIMER, Preached in the Shrouds at Paul's Church in London, on the 18th day of Jan. 1548.
