AN ACT to amend the title and section two of act number one hundred eighty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred nine, entitled, as amended, "An act to prohibit the taking, killing, trapping or molesting of certain furbearing animals at certain times and to prohibit the destruction or the molesting of the houses or holes of certain fur-bearing animals at all times", being section seven thousand five hundred eleven of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen as last amended by act number eighty-nine of the public acts of nineteen hundred twenty-five.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. The title and section two of act number one hundred eighty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred nine, entitled, as amended, "An act to prohibit the taking, killing, trapping or molesting of certain fur-bearing animals at certain times and to prohibit the destruction or the molesting of the houses or holes of certain fur-bearing animals at all times", being section seven thousand five hundred eleven of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, as last amended by act number eighty-nine of the public acts of nineteen hundred twenty-five, are hereby amended to read as follows:

TITLE

An Act to prohibit the taking, killing, trapping or molesting of certain fur-bearing animals and to prohibit the possession of certain fur-bearing animals or parts thereof, at certain times, and to prohibit the destruction or the molesting of the houses or holes of certain fur-bearing animals at all times.

SEC. 2. No person shall take, trap, hunt, shoot, kill or molest or attempt to take, trap, hunt, shoot. kill or molest any otter, fisher, or marten from and including the first day of April to and including the thirty-first day of October of each year, nor any beaver, from and including the first day of April to and including the thirty-first day of January of each succeeding year; nor any skunk from and including the

first day of February to and including the fourteenth day of November of each year; nor any muskrat in the lower peninsula, from and including the sixteenth day of March to and including the fourteenth day of November and during the months of January and February of each year; nor in the upper pensinsula from and including the first day of April to and including the fourteenth day of November and during the months of January and February and the first fifteen days of March of each year; nor any raccoon from and including the first day of March to and including the fourteenth day of November of each year. No person shall catch, kill, injure or pursue with such intent a raccoon, except from six o'clock p. m. to six o'clock a. m., and at no time shall a raccoon be taken from its den. AN ACT to amend section one of chapter two of act number two hundred eighty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred nine, entitled "An act to revise, consolidate and add to the laws relating to the establishment, opening, improvement, maintenance and use of the public highways and private roads, the condemnation of property and gravel therefor; the building, repairing and preservation of bridges; setting and protecting shade trees, drainage, cutting weeds and brush within this state, and providing for the election and defining the powers, duties and compensation of state, county, township and district highway of ficials", being section four thousand three hundred eighteen of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, as amended by act number forty-five of the public acts of nineteen hundred seventeen.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. Section one of chapter two of act number two hundred eighty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred nine, entitled "An act to revise, consolidate and add to the laws relating to the establishment, opening, improvement, maintenance and use of the public highways and private roads, the condemnation of property and gravel therefor; the building, repairing and preservation of bridges; setting and protecting shade trees, drainage, cutting weeds and brush within this state, and providing for the election and defining the powers, duties and compensation of state, county, township and district highway officials", being section four thousand three hundred eighteen of the compiled laws of nineteen hundred fifteen, as amended by act number fortyfive of the public acts of nineteen hundred seventeen, is hereby amended to read as follows:

CHAPTER II.

SECTION 1. The highways in every organized township in this state shall be laid out, improved and maintained by two money taxes; one tax shall be known as the road repair tax, and shall be assessed on all property in the township outside of the limits of incorporated villages, which tax shall not exceed fifty cents on each one hundred dollars valuation according to the assessment roll of the last preceding year, except in townships with an assessed valuation of less than five hundred thousand dollars where the tax shall not exceed one dollar on each one hundred dollars valuation, according to the assessment roll of the last preceding year; and the other tax shall be known as the highway improvement tax and shall be assessed on all taxable property in the town

ship, including that within the limits of incorporated villages, which tax shall not exceed one dollar on each one hundred dollars valuation, according to the assessment roll for the last preceding year, except that in townships having an assessed valuation of four million dollars or over the amount to be raised in the highway improvement fund shall not exceed one-half of one per cent: Provided, That the total of Proviso. the road repair tax and the highway improvement tax shall not exceed one per cent upon the assessed valuation of the taxable property of the township. AN ACT to amend section one of chapter two of part three and section five of chapter seven of part four of act number three hundred fifty-one of the public acts of nineteen hundred twenty-five, entitled "An act to provide for the registration of electors, the nomination and election of candidates for public office; to provide for and regulate primary elections and elections; to guard against the abuse of the elective franchise; to define violations of this act; to prescribe the penalties therefor; and to repeal certain acts relating thereto", approved May twenty-seven, nineteen hundred twenty-five, and to add to said act one new section to stand as section five of chapter twelve of part three; and to repeal section sixteen of chapter nineteen of part four.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:
