Broadway-Los Angeles PREFACE The questions and answers presented in this volume have been prepared by several prominent members of the California Bar, Professors of Law, Attorneys, and Legal Writers, A properly prepared quiz book should not be a mere aid to the memory; it should not be confined to showing the student how little he knows; it should be instructive in the highest sense. With this principle in view a series of questions and answers have been prepared covering the principles of law and equity in general, and the California law from the adoption of the codes in 1872 down to date. The chief purpose of this work is to cover, in as few pages as possible, the subjects upon which the Board of Bar Examiners of the State of California base their examinations, to furnish a review for law students in preparation for examination for degrees in law colleges or for admission to the bar.
