Whereas PG, the wife of II G, of your said town, labourer, hath before me JP, esquire, one of his majesty's justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid, required sureties of the peace, [or of the good behaviour] against O Ọ, of your said town, butcher; and withal hath taken her corporal oath before me that she requireth the same,not for any private malice, hatred, or ill will, but merely because she is afraid that the said 00 will beat, [wound, maim, or kill, or burn her house]; or if it be for the good behaviour, because the said 0 0 hath threatened to do some bodily mischief to her the said PG. The preceding warrants, which are taken from Dalton, are grounded upon the justice's authority, by virtue of the commission of the peace; but the following Warrant for the good behaviour only, also agreeable to Dalton's precedents, is formed on the stat. 31 Ed. 3. c. 1*.

we are given to understand by the information, complaint, and testimony of sundry credible persons, that O O, late of —, in the county aforesaid, yeoman, is not of good name or fame, nor of honest conversation, but an evil doer, a rioter, barretor, and common disturber of the peace of our said lord the king: Therefore, on the behalf of our said lord the king, we command you, and every of you, that you omit not, by reason of any liberty within the county aforesaid, but that you take the aforesaid O O, if he can be found in the county aforesaid, and safely keep him, so that you may bring him before us, or others our fellows, justices of our said lord the king, assigned to keep the peace, as soon as he can be taken [or before the justices of our said lord the king, assigned to keep the peace within the county aforesaid, and also to hear and determine divers felonies, trespasses, and other misdemeanours in the said county committed, at the next general quarter sessions of the peace, to be holden in and for the said county, to find them before us [or before the said justices] sufficient surety and mainprise of their good behaviour towards our said lord the king and all his people, according to the form of the sta tute in that behalf made and provided; and this you shall in nowise omit, under the pain that will thereon ensue.
