The Senate met pursuant to adjournment and was called to order by the President.

The roll was called and all Senators were found to be present except Messrs. Rinehart, and Dawson, who was absent on leave. Prayer was offered by Rev. J. W. Webb of Salem.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

The President appointed Messrs. Hare, Simon, Weatherford and Siglin, who were to constitute, with the President as Chairman, a Committee to whom was referred the entire matter of Rule 4.
