PHILLIPS' PHOSPHO-MURIATE OF QUININE. (COMPOUND). A RELIABLE GENERAL TONIC AND ANTIPERIODIC. We are now introducing this elegant combination of our SYR. WHEAT PHOSPHATES with Quinine, Iron and Strychnia,- and recommend it as being particularly adapted in cases requiring a General Fonic,-in Fevers and Nervous Disorders,-in Diseases due to Malarial Poisoning or to a constitutional or acquired defect in Nutrition, and in organic or functional diseases of the Throat and Lungs. (The Muriate of Quinine is employed because of its marked advantages over the Sulphate or Bi-Sulph, in its acceptability to the Stomach; its greater strength, and its much greater solubility.) The combination will suggest its indication in a large class of pathological conditions. The formula will be found upon every bottle. Its uniformity may always be relied upon. Put up in 10 ounce and 3 pint dispensing bottles. A RELIABLE ANTACID AND APERIENT. MILK OF MAGNESIA. A CONCENTRATED FLUID MAGNESIA. (Hydrated Oxide of Magnesium, Mg H, O,) In the Acid Diarrhoea of Children,- Cholera Infantum,- Vomiting in Pregnancy,- Food Scuring on the Stomach, or whenever an Antacid or Aperient is required, it will be found a superior agent. (It may be rendered more laxative by addition of a little lemon juice). Being a Hydrate it possesses great advantages over the calcined, or carbonated preparations, since the hydrate form is that in which combinations are most readily effected in the system. It is claimed in this regard that Milk of Magnesia will combine with and neutralize any excess of Lactic, Lithic and Urie Acids, which are generally admitted to be the exciting causes of Gout, Rheumatism and Gravel. From its liquid form,-hydrate condition - and freedom from carbonic acid — it establishes its claim to be the purest and safest Magnesia which can be used in medical practice. It will be found superior to Bi-Carb. of Potassa or Soda, Lime Water or Chalk Mixtures, in most instances where these alkalies may seem to be indicated. Desirable combinatious may be affected with TINCT. OPIUM, CATECHU, RHUBARB, etc., at physicians' discretion. In prescribing please specify PHILLIPS', as unreliable and dangerous imitations have appeared. Samples and circulars of our preparations sent upon application.
