On another Sabbath, He entered into the Synagogue, and taught: and a man was there whofe right hand withered. And the Scribes and Pharifees watcht Him, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, that they might find an accufation against Him. But, He knew their thoughts; and faid to the man who had the withered hand, Rise up and stand forth in the midft. And, he arofe and ttood forth. Then faid JESUS to them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the Sabbathdays to do good or to do Evil? to fave Life, or to deftroy it? But, they held their peace. And He faid to them, What man is there among you that has one fheep, and, if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath-day, will not lay hold on it and lift it out? How much then is a Man better then a Sheep? Wherefore, it is Olawful to do well on the Sabbath-days. And, looking round about on them all with anger, being griev'd for the hardnefs of their hearts, He faid to the man, Stretch forth Thy hand: and he did fo; and it was reftored whole as the other.

For He had healed many infomuch that they preffed upon Him to touch Him, as many as had Maladies: and he healed them all, And unclean Spirits, when they faw Him, fell down before Him; and cryed, faying, Thou art the Son of God. And He traightly charged them not to make Him known.
