And when the Woman faw fhe was not hid, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, the came; and falling down at His Feet, declar'd to Him before all the People, and told Him the truth, for what caufe he had toucht Him; and how the th was heal'd immediately. And, He suffer' none to follow Him,fave Peter and Jame and John the Brother of James. An when JESUS came into the Rulers houf and faw the Minstrels and the People ma king a noife, and them that wept and wail'd exceedingly; He fays to them, Why make you this ado, and weep? give place; for the Maid is not dead bu fleeps. And, they laught Him to fcorn knowing the was dead. But, when H had put them all out, He permitted not any to go in with Him, but Peter and James and John, and the Father and Mc tter of the Damfel; and entring in where the Damfel lay, He took her by the hand and call'd aloud, faying, Dam fel arife. And her Spirit came again, and ftraightway the arofe and walk'di and He commanded fomething should be

given her to eat. And her Parents were aftonifht with great wonder: And He charg'd them ftraightly, that no man fhould know it. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that Land. Refp. How quickly are we weary of praying to our God! how apt to give over our expectance from him! who yet, as Soon as He fees our neceffities, begins relief and leaves not off till He has perfectly finifht it. Let us not fear, but believe and obey, and our Souls fhall be fafe. Why are we thus impatient when any trouble befalls us, and why difparage the extraordinary proceedings of God? though we he dead in fin and forrow He can revive us, and give us frength to walk the ways of Life.. Let us not.

Refp. None are fo blind as they that wil not fee: the Pharifees pride difcerat no Miracle, while the humble multitude believe and admire. The Pharifees envy cavils at every thing, while the plain people confefs the truth. Wonderful are Thy Judgments, O Lord! who with-holdet Thy Graces from the worldly wife, and beftowest them on the meek and innocent. The abufers of Thy favours are defervedly forfaken; and the wilfull contradicters of evident reafon Thou justly abandonoft to a reprobate fenfe. *Wonderful are
