thy bed, and go to thy houfe. And im mediately he arofe, and took up the bed whereon he lay, and went forth before them all; and departed to his own houfe glorifying God. But, when the multi tude faw it they marvail'd, and were all amaz'd; and magnified God who had given fuch power to men: and were filled with fear, faying, we have feen ftrange things to day, we never faw it on this fashion.

After thefe things, Jefus went forth again by the Sea fide, and all the multihtude reforted to Him: and He taught them. And, as He paffed by, He faw a Publican, named Levi, fitting at the reLoceipt of Cuftom; who was called alfo Matthew and He faid to him, Follow Me. And he left all, rofe, up, and followed Him. And Levi made Him a great Feaft in his own houfe; and it came to pals that, as JESUS fat at meat, many 2211 Publicans and Sinners came and fat down together with JESUS and His Difciples; for, there were many, who alfo follow'd Him. And, when the Scribes and Pbazy rifes faw Him eat with Publicans and Sinners, they murmuring faid to His Difciples, Why does your Master, and why Om do you eat aud drink with Publicans and finners? when JESUS heard that, Ho anfwering faid to them, They who are well need not the Phyfician, but they ter who are fick. But, go and learn what this means, I will have Mercy and not Sacrifice: for, I am not come to call the Juft, but Sinners to Repentance.

And, no man puts new Wine into old Bottles; elfe the new Wine will break the Bottles, and it felf befpilt, and the Bottles loft: but new Wine muft be put into new Bottles, and both are preferv d. No man alfo,having drunk old Wine, ftraightway defires news for, he fays, the old is better." Relp. When Thou art prefent with us, O Thou Heavenly Spouse of our Souls! when Thou art pleas'd to stay and dwell in our hearts, how strangely doft Thou fill them with joy and fweetness! Whatever happens, we cannot be fad while Thou art with us, nor merry if Thou lesveft us. Infufe thy holy love into our hearts, O Lord, and make us faithfully bold it fast for ever; that we loofe not not our felves by neglecting Thy Grace, but preferve them both to Eternal Life. *Whatever happens
