And He faid to them, With defire have I defir'd to eat this Passover with you before I fuffer. For, I fay to you, I will not any more eat thereof, till it be fulfilled in the King dom of God. And He took the Cup and gave thanks, and faid, Take this and divide it among you: for, I wil not drink of the fruit of the Vine, till the Kingdom of God fhall come.

Before the feaft day of the Passover, JESUS knowing his hour was come that He fhould depart out of this World. to the Father; when as He had loved his Own who were in the World He loved them to the end. Then He pour'd water into a bafon, and began to wash the Difciples feet,and wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girt. Then comes He

to Simon-Peter; and Peter fays to Him Lord, doft Thou wash my feet? JESUS anfwered and faid to him, what I doc thou knoweft not now; but, thou shalt know hereafter. Peter fays to Him, Thou fhalt never wath my feet. JESUS an fwer'd him, If I wash thee not, thou fhalt have no part with Me. SimonPeter fays to Him, Lord, not only my feet, but my hands also and my head. JESUS fays to him, He that is watht need no more then to wash his feet; but is wholly clean and you are clean, but not all. (For, He knew who fhould betray Him; therefore faid He, You are not all clean.) So, after He had washt their feet, and taken his garments, and was fet down again, He said to them, Know you what I have done to you? You call Me Mafter and Lord: and you fay well: for, fo I am. If I then, your Lord and Mafter, have walht your feet you also ought to wash one anothers feet. For, I have given you an example, that', as I have done to you, fo allo you should do.

Lesson 245.

And, as they were at fupper, JESus took bread, and gave thanks, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to His Difciples, and faid, Take, eat, this is my Body which is given for you: this doe in remembrance of Me.In like manner taking the Chalice alfo after He had fupt, He gave thanks, and gave it to them, faying, Drink you all of this: for, This is my Blood of the New Teftament, whida fhall be fhed for many to the remiffion of fins: (And they all drank of it) But I fay to you, I will not drink from henceforth of this fruit of the Vine, till that day when I drink it new with you in the Kingdom of my Father.
