judge after the flesh; I judge not any Man. Yet, if I judge, my Judgement is true: for, I am not alone, but I and the Father that fent Me; and in your Law it is written, that the Teftimony of two men is true. I am one, that bear witness of my felf; and the Father that fent Me bears witne's of Me. Then Then faid they to Him, Where is Thy Father? JESUS anfwered, You neither know Me nor my Father: if you know Me, perhaps you might know My Father allo: Thefe words fpake JESUS in the Treafury, teaching in the Temple; and no man apprehended him: for, his hour was not yet come.

Refp. What need we now more Witneßes for Thee? Thy own incomparable Works bear Testimony to Thee: and, were we not wilfully blind, we could not but fee Thee. Illuminate our Souls, O Thou Light of the World! that we may follow Thee, and behold Thee at last in the Light of Thy Glory. Thy felf haft taught us whence thou cameft and whither Thou art gone : O make Us ftill more firmly believe Thee, and ftill more eagerly defire to be with Thee.

Then faid JESUS again to them, Igo My way, and you fhall feek Me, and fhall dye in your fins: Whither I go you cannot come. The Jews therefore faid, Will He kill Himfelf? becaufe He says, Whither I go you cannot come. And He faid to them, You are from beneath; I am from above: You are of this World, I am not of this World. Therefore faid I to you, You shall dye in your fins: for, you believe not that I am He, you fhall dye in your fins. Then faid they to Him, Who art Thou? JESUS faid to them, The Beginning, who alfo fpake to you. I have many things to fay, and to judge of you: but He that fent Meis true; and I fpake to the World those things that I have heard of Him. And they knew not that He said to them that His Father was God. Then faid JESUS to them, When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then shall you know that I am He; and that I do nothing of My felf: but, as My Father has taught Me I speak these things. And, He that fent Me is with Me; and He hath not left Me alone; for, I always do the

Refp. True, dearest Lord! we are from beneath, and our understandings dark and low; we are of this World, and our thoughts dull and earthy. * But, Thon

Then faid JESUS to thofe Jews who believ'd in Him, If you continue in My Word you shall indeed be my Difciples; and fhall know the truth, and the truth fhall make you free. They answered Him, We are the feed of Abraham, and never fervid any man: how fay'ft Thou, You fhall be inade free? JESUS anfwered; Verily verily I fay to you, Whoever commits fin is the fervant of fin: And, the fervant abides not in the house for ever but the Son abides for ever. If therefore the Son fhall make you free, You fhall be free indeed. I know you

They an fwered and faid to Him, Abraham is our Father. JESUS fays to them, If you be the Children of Abraham, do the Works of Abraham. But now you feek to kill Me, a Man who have told you the truth which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. You do the Deeds of your Father. Then faid they to Him, We are not born of Fornication; we have one Father, God, JESUS faid to them, If God were your Father, furely you would love me; for, from God I pro ceeded and came: for, I came not of My felf, but he fent Me.

Why do you not underftand My Speech? because you cannot hear My m. Word. You are of your father, the Devil; and the lufts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he fpeaks a lye, he fpeaks of his own: for, he is a lyer and the father of it. do you not believe Me? He that is of God hears the words of God: You therefore hear them not, because you are not of God. Then answered the Jews and and faid to Him, fay we not well, Thou art a Samaritan and hafta Devil? JESUS anfwered, I have not a Devil: but, I honour my Father, and you dihonour Me, Ifeek not My own Glory; there is one that feeks and judges.
