Lesson 144 When JESUS had finisht theft words, and the Jeres Feast of Tabernacles was at hand: His Brethren said to Him, Depart hence and go into Judea ; that Thy Disciples also may see the Works thou doft. For, no Man does any thing in secret, and seeks himself to be in publick. If Thou dost these things, shew Thy self to the World. (For, neither did His Brethren believe in Him.) Then JESUS said to them, My time is not yet come; but, your time is always ready. The World cannot hate you : but Me it hates; because I testifie of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go you up to this Feaft: I go not up yet ; for, My time is not yet accomplisht. When He had said these words to them, He tarry'd fill in Galilee. But, after His Brethren were gone up, then he also went out of Galilee up to the Feaft: Not openly, but as it were in secret. Resp. Not so, dear Lord! depart not

And, when He enter'd into a certain Village, there met him ten Men that were Lepers; who stood afar off, and lifted up their Voices, and said, JESuis, Master, have Mercy on us. Whom, afsoon as He saw, He said to them, Go shew your selves to the Priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleans'd. . And one of them, when he saw. he was heald, turn'd back, and, with a loud Voice, glorified God; and fell down on his face at His feet, giving him thanks: And this was a Samaritane. And JESUS, answering said, Were there not ten cleansed ? but: where are the nine? There is not found any that returns to give Glory to God, save this Stranger. And He said to him,

JESV, Master!

Lesson 147 The feros, therefore, sought Him on the Feast-day, and said, where is He? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him: for, fome Taid, He is a good Man; others said , Nos but he deceives the people. Yet, no Man spake openly of Him, for fear of the Jews. Now, about the midst of the Feast, JESUS went up into the Temple, and taught. And the Jewys marvelled, saying, How knows this Man Letters,

He that speaks of himfelf, seeks his own glory: but, He that seeks His Glory that sent Him, He is true, and injustice is not in Him. Did not Mofes give you the Law, and none of you keeps the Law? Have the Princes known indeed that this is Christ, but this Man we know whence he is : But when the Christ comes, no Man knows whence Heis: Then JESUS cry'd aloud in the Temple, teaching them, saying You both know me, and whence I am you know : and I am not come of My self, but He that fent Meis True; whom you know not. I know Him because I am of Him, and He fent Me. They therefore fought to take Him: but no Man lay'd hands on Him, because His of the people believ'don Him; and said, When Christ comes, will Hé do more Miracles then this Man does? The Pha
