And the Sea arofe, by reafon of a great wind that blew and the Ship was tofs'd with Waves in the midft of the Sea, and JESUS was alone on the Land. And, seeing them labour in rowing (for, the Wind was againft, them) about the fourth watch of the night He went to them, walking on the Sea. So, when they had row'd about five and twenty of thirty Furlongs, they fee JESUS walking on the Sea and drawing nigh the Ship; and He would have paffed by them. When the Disciples faw Him walking on the Sea, they fuppofed it had been a Spirit; and cryed out for fear, faying, 'Tis a Spirit for, they all faw Him, and were troubled. But, ftraightway, JE SUS fpake to them, and faid, Have confidence; 'tis Is be not afraid. And Peter, an fwering Him, faid, Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come to thee on the Water. And He faid Come. And. when Peter was come down out of Ship, he walk'd on the Water to go to JESUS. But, when he faw the wind boisterous, he was afraid, and beginning to fink, cryed out, faying, Lord

Lord fave me. And immediately JESUS, ftretching forth His hand, took hold of him; and faid to him, O thou of little Faith! why didft thou doubt? Then they defir'd to receive Him into the Ship, and He went up to them. And, when they were come into the Ship, the wind cealed; and immediately the Ship was at the Land whither they went. Refp. And fuch is our fuccefs when JESUS is not with us; we labour against the ftream of our own Corruptions, we row against the wind of a thousandTemptations. Loaves, because their heart was blinded. And, when they had paffed over, they came into the Land of Genezareth, and fet to the Shore. And being come out of the Ship, ftraightway the men of that place knew Him. And they fent ́out, and ran through the whole Region, and began to carry about in Beds thofe who were fick, where they heard He was. And, whitherfoever He entred into Villages, or Towns or Cities, they laid the fick in the Streets, and brought to Him all that were difeafed; and be fought Him that they might touch but the border of His Garments: and as ma ny as toucht Him were made whole. The day following. when the people who stood on the other fide of the Sea faw there was no other Boat there but one; and that JESUS entred not with His Difciples into the Boat, but that His Difciples were gone away alone, ( Howbeit there came in other Boats from Tiberias, nigh the place where they had eaten the Bread after our Lord had given Thanks:) When the people therefore faw that JESUS was not there, nor His Difciples, they went into the Boats and came to Capernaum, feeking for JESUS. And, when they had found Him on the other fide of the Sea, they faid to Him, Rabbi, when cameft Thou hither? JESus answered them and faid, Verily, verily, I fay to you, you feek me not be caufe you faw the Miracles; but because you eat of the Loaves and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perishes, but for that which endures to everlafting Life; which the Son of Man will give You: for, Him hath God the Father fealed.
