And the Sea arose, by reason of a great wind that blew : and the Ship was tossed with Waves in the midtt of the Sea, and JESUS was alone on the Land. And, seeing them labour in rowing (for, the Wind was againft, them ) about the fourth watch of the night He went ta them, walking on the Sca. So, when they had row'd about five and twenty or thirty Furlongs, they fee JESUS walking on the Sea and drawing nigh the Ship; and He would have passed by them. When the Disciples saw Him walking on the Sea, they supposed it had been a Spirit ; and cryed out for fear, saying, 'Tis a Spirit ; for, they all saw Him, and were troubled. But, straightway, JE SUS {pake to them, and said, Have confidence; 'tis I; be not afraid. And Peter, answering Hiin, said, Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come to Thee on the water. And He said Come. And. when Peter was come down out of Ship, he walk'd on the Water to go to Jesus. But, when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid, and beginning to fink, cryed out, saying,

Lord save me. And immediately JESUS, ftretching forth His hand, took hold of him; and said to him, O thou of little Faien ! why didft thou doubt? Then they defir'd to receive Him into the Ship, and He went up to them. And, when they were come into the Ship, the wind cealed; and immediately the Ship was at the Land whither they went. Refp. And such is our success when JE
