pass through things temporal as not to lose finally

the things eternal.

The sun casts down his beams most bright

Upon the standing corn;

The silver moon does give her light

From even until morn.

All things were made by God at first,
Who could in no wise err:

O may I give to Him my heart,
And all his ways prefer.
