WARD BOUNDARIES.

(Act No. 308, Local Acts 1893.)

Section 2. The said city shall for the time being be divided into seven wards.

The First ward shall include all that portion of said city First Ward commencing at a point on the shore of Green Bay where the center line of Grand Avenue (heretofore called Quimby Street) projected in a direct course, would intersect the same, thence running southerly along the shore of Green Bay to the center of the channel of the Menominee river, thence westerly along said channel to a point where the east line of section three, township thirty-one, north of range twenty-seven west, intersects the same; thence north along the east line of said section three, to the center of Grand avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Grand avenue to the center of Kirby street, thence northeasterly along the center line of said Grand avenue and such line as projected in a direct course to the place of beginning.

The Second ward shall include all that portion of said city second Ward commencing on the shore of Green Bay at the northeast corner of the First ward; thence running westerly along the north boundary of said First ward to the east line of section three, township thirty-one north, range twenty-seven west; thence north along said east line of section three to the center line of Ogden avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Ogden avenue to the shore of Green Bay; thence southerly along the shore of Green Bay to the place of beginning.

The Third ward shall include all that portion of said city, Third Ward commencing at the northeasterly corner of the Second ward, thence running southwesterly and westerly following the center line of Ogden avenue to a point where the same intersects Pine alley; thence north along the center line of Pine alley to Somerville avenue; thence west along the center line of Somerville avenue to a point where the same intersects Elizabeth street; thence north along the center line of Elizabeth street to the

center line of Stephenson avenue; thence east following the center line of Stephenson avenue and such line as projected in a direct course to the shore of Green Bay; thence along the shore of Green Bay to the place of beginning.

The Fourth ward shall include all that portion of said city, commencing at a point where the east line of said section three intersects the center of the channel of the Menominee river; thence running north along said east line of said section three to Ogden avenue; thence west along the center line of Ogden avenue to said Pine alley; thence north following the westerly boundary of the Third ward as above described to the center line of Stephenson avenue and continuing on the center line of Elizabeth street north to Park avenue; thence westerly along the center line of Park avenue to a point in line with the center line of McCullough street; thence south in line with the center of McCullough street to the center of channel of Menominee river; thence easterly along the center of said channel to the place of beginning.

The Fifth ward shall include all that portion of said city described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at the southwest corner of the Fourth ward as heretofore described, thence running north on a line with center of McCullough street to the center of Park avenue, thence west along the north line of township thirty-one to the center of the channel of Menominee river, thence easterly along the center of the channel of Menominee river to the place of beginning.

The Sixth ward shall include all that portion of said city, commencing at a point where the center line of Park avenue intersects the center line of Broadway on the north line of Stephenson & Kirby's addition to Menominee, running thence north along the cener line of Broadway to the center line of Saxton street in Ingalls' first addition to Menominee, thence easterly along the center line of Saxton street to the center line of the right of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company as the same is now laid out and occupied by said company for its main line, thence running north along the center line of said right of way to the north section line of section twenty-seven, town thirty-two north, range twenty-seven west, thence west to the northwest corner of said section twentyseven, thence south along the west lines of sections twenty-seven and thirty-four to the north boundary line in town thirty-one aforesaid, thence east to the place of beginning.

The Seventh ward shall include all that portion of said city, described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at a point on the shore of Green Bay, where the center line of Stephenson avenue, projected in a direct course easterly, would intersect the same; running thence west on said line, and the center of Stephenson avenue to the center line of Elizabeth street; thence north along the center line of Elizabeth street to the north boundary line of said town thirty-one; thence west on the north boundary line

of said town thirty-one to the center line of Broadway; thence north along the center line of Broadway to the center line of Saxton street; thence east along the center line of Saxton street to the center of the right of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company as the same is laid out and occupied by it for its main line; thence north along the center line of said right of way to the north line of section twenty-seven, township thirty-two north, of range twenty-seven west; thence east on the north line of seetions twenty-seven and twenty-six to the shore of Green Bay; thence along the shore of Green Bay to the point of commencing.

Officers elected, term of office, etc.

TITLE V.

Section 1. (As amended by Sec. 1, Local Act No. 562, 1905.) At the annual election to be held in said city on the first Monday in April in the year nineteen hundred six, there shall -be elected on the city ticket by the qualified voters of the whole city, a mayor, who shall hold his office for the term of two years and until his successor is elected and qualified, and biennially thereafter a mayor shall be elected in like manner for a term of two years. At each annual election hereafter held in said city there shall be elected on the city ticket by the qualified voters of the whole city, a city treasurer who shall hold his office for one year, but no person shall be eligible for the office of city treasurer for more than two consecutive years. The justices of the peace now existing in said city shall hold their office until the term for which they were elected shall have expired; and thereafter there shall be elected annually one justice of the peace so that there shall be four justices in said city. There shall be elected in each ward at each annual election hereafter held, one alderman for the term of two years and one supervisor for the term of one year. The officers elected under the provision of this section, except the assessor hereinafter provided for, shall enter upon the duties of their office on the second Monday in April of each year when elected and hold the same for the terms respectively for which they were elected and until their successors are qualified and enter upon the duAssessor, term ties of their office except as herein otherwise provided.

the annual city election to be held in said city on the first Monday in April in the year one thousand nine hundred four, and every three years thereafter, there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the whole city an assessor who shall hold his office for three years, and until his successor shall be elected and qualified, and whose term of office shall commence on the first day of January next succeeding his election.
