Mr. Biggs moved to lay on the table-pending which motion, at twelve o'clock and fifty minutes, on motion of Mr. Satterwhite, the House adjourned until Tuesday, the seventh instant, at eleven o'clock A. M.

Mr. Satterwhite offered the following resolution:

Resolved, That the standing rules of last session, until changed, shall govern this House.

Resolved, That the Assembly now proceed to the election of Speaker, Speaker pro tem., Chief Clerk and Sergeant-at-Arms, in the order stated.
