Pursuant to law, the House was called to order by John A. Eagan, Esq., Chief Clerk of the last session.

The roll of counties was called, and the following gentlemen appeared and were duly qualified (the oath being administered by the Hon. Royal T. Sprague, Associate Judge of the Supreme Court), and took their seats as members of the Assembly, as follows:

Mr. Biggs moved to lay on the table-pending which motion, at twelve o'clock and fifty minutes, on motion of Mr. Satterwhite, the House adjourned until Tuesday, the seventh instant, at eleven o'clock A. M.
