WHEREAS under the provisions of an Act, passed in the late session of Parliament, intituled "An Act to provide for the consideration "of an Ordinance, which has been laid before ** Parliament, in a report of the Oxford University "Commissioners," Her Majesty has been pleased, by Her Orders in Council of the 9th June and 23rd November, 186(J, to refer, for the consideraation and advice of a Committee of five Members of Her Privy Council, an ordinance, framed by the Oxford University Commissioners, in relation to the College of St. John the Baptist, in the University of Oxford, and several petitions in favour of and against that Ordinance: Notice is hereby given, that the said ordinance, and the report relating to it from the said Commissioners,— the objections of the governing members of the said College, and the above mentioned petitions in relation thereto, will be taken into consideration by the Committee of the Lords of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council to whom the matter has been referred, in the Council Chamber, Whitehall, on Wednesday the 23rd of January next, at eleven o'clock.
