Containing a list of all the words made use of in the English Reader; divided, accented, defined, and the part of speech annexed; Alphabetically arranged, and adapted to the Orthography and Pronunciation of Walker.
When a word begins with a vowel, if the syllable end with a consonant, the vowel has its short sound; but if it end with a vowel, it has its long sound.
