Brocardo was beaten a length for the second place, beating Joinville a neck; Grimston was fifth, well up, followed by Sting, Tom Tulloch, and Sir G. Heathcote's colt. The starter complained of W. Scott, for disobeying orders, and for using improper language; the case was heard before the Stewards on the following day, and W. Scott was fined 5 sov. H. Bell made a complaint against G. Francis, for jostling and trying to throw Sting down. The case was heard before the Stewards on the following day, when they did not think the charge sufficiently proved to convict Francis, but they warned him that had it been confirmed by other evidence, they would have prohibited him from riding or appearing on any Course over which they have authority.
