Miss Elis made the running at a steady pace, followed by Sorella, Caroline beaten early; rising the hill to the finish Sorella went up, and by bearing too much to the right nearly drove Miss Elis out of the Course; half way up the cords Miss Elis again obtained the lead, and won by a length. Mr Osbaldeston and Flatman each lodged a complaint against the other for crossing, but it was afterwards withdrawn on both sides.

13 to 8 on Tom Tulloch, 5 to 1 agst Sir Tatton Sykes, and 5 to 1 agst Green Pea. The running was made at a strong pace by Radulphus, with Sir Tatton Sykes and Green Pea lying close up to the new ground, where King Charles, overpowering his rider, went to the front; at the bushes Tom Tulloch took the lead, closely followed down the hill by Sir Tatton Sykes and St Demetri. These three came out of the Ab. M. bottom together; half way up the hill St Demetri declined, and the other two ran a good race in, Sir Tatton Sykes winning by three quarters of a length; two lengths between the second and third; pace good throughout.

The starter reported that W. Scott and F. Butler were each fif

teen minutes, and Mr Osbaldeston twenty minutes after time at the post; which was ordered by the Stewards to be published, with a caution to trainers and riders to be more punctual in future.

After the race the owner of the second horse requested that the winner's mouth might be examined by Mr Field. This was done on Wednesday afternoon, and Mr Field certified that the horse was of the right age.

The Coffee-room Stakes of 50 sov. each, for colts, 8st. 7b. and fillies, 8st. 4lb. the produce of mares which never produced a winner; A.F. This stake is confined to members of the Coffee Room

Even betting. Cocoa-nut made the running; half way up the

cords Physalis challenged, and after a good race won by a head.

7 to 4 agst Fugitive, 4 to 1 agst Alexa, and 4 to 1 agst the winner. Forget-me-not and Alexa went off in front; the others well up; half way in the cords the Fanchon filly went up, obtained the lead, and won rather cleverly by a length; a good race for the second place.

The winner was claimed.
