Miss Elis made the running with a lead of several lengths, Jericho second, Old England and Idas lying off; after rising the hill through the ditch Jericho took the lead, followed by Old England; at the cords the latter challenged, and a splendid run in with the two ended in favour of Jericho by a head; Miss Elis was about a couple of lengths from Old England, beating Idas a head for the third place.
