The time appointed in the advertisement for entering for the plates, including this plate, was Friday the 21st inst. but the Hero and Wolf-dog were not then entered, and their owners claimed to enter them on the day before running, according to the Queen's plate articles. They were permitted to start, under protest, and the plate is withheld. The owner of Oliver Cromwell claimed the plate, on the ground that his was the only horse shewn at the

entrance.

The Certificate had not been delivered when this sheet was put to press.
