• Evans 6 This race was disputed, on the ground that Tit-bit carried 3. over weight without declaring. The fact of her having done so was fully established, but it was alleged that the jockey weighed witb his reins and martingale, which he need not have done. The case was referred to the Stewards of the Jockey Club, who decided that Titbit's rider having carried 3lb. over weight, without declaring it, she was not entitled to the stake.
