For the Flowers,

With 28 Cotton make a chain of 25 stitches, turn and De into 5th loop not reckoning the loop on the hook, then* 5 chain, De into 6th loop, repeat from,* twice more, this will leave 2 chain, turn the work on the finger, still, keeping it on the right side so as to bring the 25 chain on the top of the finger, 1 chain, then 5 long successively, De on Do, 5 long, De on De, 5 long, De on De, 9 long under the 5 chain at the point, De on D, then work down the other side of the leaf the same, till the 1 chain, De through the chain, and the 1st chain of the 2 that were left, turn the leaf on the finger still on the right side, then 23 chain and make another leaf exactly the same, but De into the 1 chain only, at the end, then make 4 chain from the stem, turn back, work 3 De, then having the leaves upright and the Cotton between, on the top of the 2 leaves make 4 chain, and crochet the 3rd loop of each leaf together by taking the Hook from the loop of the 4 chain, insert it into the 2 loops of the leaves, then catching the loop of the 4 chain, and draw the Thread through the 3 loops at once, 9 chain, turn back, work 6 long down the chain, De into the 3rd loop from D stitch of leaf, 3 chain, turn the work round on the finger bringing the stem of the leaves upwards, De into same loop as last long, 3 chain, De into 3rd loop from De stitch in leaf, 6 long on the opposite side of the 6 long, 5 chain, De into 3rd loop from De in right hand leaf, 5 chain, De on top of the last of the 6 long, 7 chain, De on the top of the opposite long, 5 chain, De into 3rd loop from De stitch in left hand leaf, 5 chain. Turn the Flower on the wrong side, De into the De stitch of the Flower, 5 chain, 6 long into 5 chain between each under the 7 chain, 5 chain, De on De, 3 chain, De on De of leaf, 3 chain, turn the Flower on the right side,† 3 long under the 5 chain, 3 chain, De under the 5 chain, 3 chain, repeat from,† 3 times more, the last time omitting the Dc under the 5 chain, but De

into Dc of the leaf, 7 chain. Turn on the wrong side, De under the 3 chain after the 3 long, 7 chain, De under every 3 chain omitting the last after the 3 last long, 7 chain, De into the Dc of the leaf near the point. Cut off the Cotton, run it in with a Needle and fasten it securely. Make 13 of these Flowers, sew the stem of each into the bottom of the points of the Collar, sew the sides of the points of the leaves together, then sew the sides of the leaves down the sides of the points of the Collar, this should be done with very fine Cotton. Or a more simple way will be to make a Collar of Brussels Net, and sew the Flowers on it. With the Net it cannot be distinguished from a Honiton Collar of great value.
