R. Rees and L. J. Eastin; for representative, Wm. G. Mathias, H. D. McMeekin, and A. Payne; and for the following reasons: That two of the judges of the election did not take the oath of office required by your excellency. That residents of Missouri came here on the 29th and 30th of March; that they voted for the above named individuals, and then immediately returned. That the New Lucy, a boat, on the morning of the day of election, started for Leavenworth from Weston, with citizens of Missouri; that the citizens of Missouri on said boat did vote at the polls of the sixteenth district, and then immediately returned on said boat to Missouri; that many citizens of said district were deterred from voting by the conduct of citizens of Missouri. We therefore pray that your excellency will appoint a day on which a hearing can be had. Wm. Phillips J. E. R. Howald T. A. Hart N. Fays G. B. White H. D. Streeter. To His Excellency A. H.
