Mr. Gullett, from the select committee to which had been referred Senate bill, entitled

An act to fix the time of meeting of the General Assembly of Missouri, Reported back the same, with the following amendment, and recommended its passage, as amended:

Strike out "October," and insert "November."

The amendment was read a first and second time.

Mr. Morris then offered the following amendment to the amendment: Amend amendment by striking out" November," and inserting "De

cember."

The amendment to the amendment was read a first and second time, and disagreed to.

The question then being upon the amendment reported by the committee,

Mr. Morris moved its indefinite postponement;

Which motion was agreed to.

Mr. Parsons, from the Committee on the Judiciary, to which had been referred Senate bill, entitled

An act to amend an act, entitled "an act to prevent certain trespasses," approved November 17, 1855,

Reported back the same, and recommended its rejection. Mr. Watkins then offered the following amendment to the bill: Amend by adding to the last section of the bill the following: " and all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby repealed." The amendment was read a first and second time, and agreed to. Mr. McFerran then offered the following amendment to the bill: Amend by striking out "county," and inserting "plaintiff," in the second section.

The amendment was read a first and second time, and agreed to.

Mr. Parsons then moved the indefinite postponement of the bill, as amended;

Which was decided in the affirmative by the following vote, the ayes and noes being demanded by Mr. McFerran :

Mr. PRESIDENT: I am instructed by the House of Representatives to inform the Senate, that bills of the following titles have been introduced into the House, and passed:

An act to authorize the county of Jackson to issue certain bonds

An act to establish a State road in Mercer county;

An act to repeal "an act to prevent certain trepasses in the counties of DeKalb, Newton, and Clinton;"

An act to view, mark and locate a State road, in Holt and Nodaway counties;

An act in relation to dram shops in the counties of Wayne and Butler; An act to pay grand and petic jurors in Johnson and Pettis counties; An act to incorporate Linn Lodge, No. 65, of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons;

An act to change the name of Martha Mabrey;

A bill to establish a State road from Randolph City to McGee College, in Macon county;

A bill empowering Mary Bean, administratrix of Jonathan L. Bean, to improve a certain lot of ground in the city of St. Louis;

Mr. Scott moved to fill the first blank with "twenty-five dollars ;" Which motion was disagreed to, by the following vote, the ayes and noes being demanded by Mr. McFerran
