pute shall arise as to the Quality of any Hemp imported into any of the Out Ports in England, Samples thereof fhall be taken and fent up to the Commiffioners of the Customs in London; and into the Out Ports in Scotland, to the Commiffioners of the Customs at Edinburgh, in fuch Manner as the respective Commiffioners shall direct, in order to be infpected and adjudged there as before mentioned.

13. 9n0, PROVIDED always, That if in cafe of any Doubt or Dispute shall arife, whether Difpute whethe Hemp, or any Part thereof, fo to be be the Proexported, is of the Growth, Product, or land, the Manufacture of Ireland, or of foreign Onus probandi Growth, Product, or Manufacture, the owner. Onus probandi fhall lie on the Owner or Claimer thereof, and not on the Informer or Profecutor; any Law, Custom, or Ufage to the contrary notwithstanding.

Chap. 40.

An ACT for extending the Provifions of Three Acts, made in the Twenty-ninth Year of his late Majefty, and in the Tenth and Nineteenth Years of his prefent Majefy's Reign, for granting a Bounty on certain Species of British and Irish LINENS exported, to British and Irish Linens, British Callicoes and Cottons, or Cotton mixed with Linen, printed, painted, or ftained, in Great Britain, and to Buckrams and Tillettings, exported during the Time therein limited; and for taking off the Duties payable upon the Importation of that Species of Blue called Smalts.

$1. WHEREAS by an Act made in the Preamble. Twenty-ninth Year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second, (intituled, An Act for granting a Recital of an Bounty upon certain Species of British and Act 29 Irish Linens exported, and taking off the Duties on the Importation of foreign raw Linen Yarns
