Part X.

OFFICES, LITANIES, PRAYERS,

ETC.

I have to express my thanks to the Rev. R. M. Benson, to the Editors of “The Priest's Prayer Book” and of “The People's Hymnal,” to Messrs. Burns and Lambert, and to Mr. Hayes, for permission to print some of the following Offices, Prayers, &c.

A LITANY FOR THE SICK.

EMEMBER not, LORD, our offences,

nor the offences of our forefathers; neither take Thou vengeance of our sins.

Spare him, good Lord. O GOD, Who keepest Thy servants with tender affection,

Incline Thine ear to our supplications.

Hear us when we pray to Thee for our sick brother,

And bestow upon him the medicine of heavenly grace.

Remember not, O LORD, the sins and offences of his youth,

But according to Thy mercy be mindful of

him.

LORD, have mercy on him.
Christ, have mercy on him.
LORD, have mercy on him.
