OLY JESU, my strength, my refreshment, my helper and deliverer, in Whom I have hoped, Whom I have believed, and Whom I have loved; perfect sweetness, tower of strength, and my hope from my youth up; call me, O Guide of my life, and I will answer Thee. Thou mayest not turn away from me, who seek to Thee, because Thou art my GOD. Thy flesh is of my flesh. To this end, not leaving Thy FATHER'S side, Thou didst put on my humanity, being made GOD and Man, and continuing as Thou wast before, in one and the same Person. Therefore how greatly and wonderfully can I have sinned, that I may not turn to Thee trustfully as to a brother, and Thou shalt grant me Thy divine mercy? presence, O LORD, and let Thine hand save me. Lo! this is the man who going down to Jericho, fell among thieves. I am wounded, and left half dead, Good Samaritan, receive me! I have grievously sinned in my life, and done evil in Thy sight. From the sole of my foot to the crown of my head there is no soundness in me; my soul had merited a dwelling place in hell. nance, O LORD, we beseech Thee, upon those who cannot find rest in the season of darkness; calm them by the gracious influence of Thy HOLY SPIRIT, and surround them with the ministrations of Thy holy Angels. Keep their minds

from all harassing thoughts and temptations of evil, and suggest to them such truths as shall be most fitted to their necessity. Keep their bodies from restlessness, and grant that they may learn in patient waiting for the day of Thy revelation, to rejoice with Thy saints while the night of earthly life remains, that they may exult in Thy glory when all who have persevered shall enter into Thy rest, to dwell in Thy light for ever; through JESUS CHRIST Our LORD.
