Thus landscape, figure, flower, and ornamental painting and illumination will be reated, accompanied by an illustrated lesson on one or other of these subjects every week-each branch coming round in its turn, about once a month. All the departments will be presided over by eminent professors; and it is within reason to state that these fifty-two lessons will contain more information than any one person could acquire from a similar number given by a master to pupil at a cost of fifty-two guineas; which latter, moreover, would exhaust themselves, and end, whereas those given in this Journal will continue an absolute property, to be used, ad infinitum, by member after member of a family. It is also to be observed that facsimiles of the professors' studies will remain the property of the purchaser of the Magazine. 6. The Decorative Arts, by Dr. DRESSER, who has specially selected illustrations from the Paris Exhibition, which he will also describe.
